Natalie R Gillan PhD

Natalie has been working in the field of nutrition and nutritional therapy since 2003. She has extensive scientific expertise in identifying the root cause of her patients’ symptoms and weight loss issues.

During extensive clinical practice, Natalie has developed industry-leading expertise across a broad spectrum of patients' needs, including, but not limited to:

  • digestive problems including IBS, IBD, SIBO, gastric reflux and food intolerance;

  • weight management, including extensive work with diabetes;

  • bariatric (weight loss) surgery nutrition and lifestyle support; 

  • hormonal disorders for both female and male patients.

As a bariatric surgery team member, she works with world-class surgeons and psychologists, supporting weight loss surgery patients beyond the NHS or private clinics’ care packages.

Her deep understanding of the dietary challenges in overweight and obese patients combines with her therapeutic and coaching skills to fully support and counsel the patients in their pursuit of better health and weight loss. 

 

Natalie's passion for life is unmistakable in her full-on roles as a professional therapist, culinary enthusiast and multi-tasking mum. Seasonal, locally sourced, and sustainable meals are her hallmark.

Consultant Upper Gastrointestinal & Bariatric Surgeon

Dr Borg has been a consultant in London for over 10 years having completed her specialist surgical training in upper GI, general and bariatric surgery followed by a laparoscopic and bariatric surgical fellowship at University College Hospital, London. ​Dr Borg has published in peer reviewed journals and presented in national and international meetings. She is an editor and reviewer for several international journals. Dr Borg is a Regional Surgical Advisor for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She is an elected member on AUGIS council and a BOMSS Charity Trustee.
